Halloween 2015

We loved having Halloween on a weekend! Maddie was Katniss (Hunger Games) and Sophie was a corpse bride. Kent went all out decorated the porch with things so scary he didn't get very many customers. Madeline was the last trick-or-treater standing in the neighborhood and brought home a record haul. I clocked 24,000 steps on the fitbit, too!

First Day of School, 2015-2016

Here are some pictures from last fall's first day of school. Madeline is a seventh grader and in middle school! Sophie started third grade and still comes to work with me.

August 2015 Beach Trip

In August, we rented a beach house with Mom, Jim, Jessie and crew, and a good family friend. We loved the beach, the pool, the hot tub, and time together.

Madeline was able to bring a friend along. They spent an afternoon on a high ropes adventure.

We also attended a Cirque du Soliel show which was a fun evening out.

Scouts

The girls were busy with their Girl Scout troops this weekend.  Sophie went camping; brrrrrrr! it was cold! Down in the 30's overnight!

Madeline took a tour of the White House with her troop. It was a beautiful day to be in DC.

Cox Farm 2015

We made our annual trip to Cox farm last weekend. Mom and Jim came too! We enjoyed the hayride, corn maze, slides, and goat petting.

Something New!

I have decided to update my blog! For awhile, there is going to be a bit of new and a bit older stuff until I get caught up! The last few months will have to appear out of chronological order, but I am committed to getting "caught up!"

On November 2, Sophie joined her Girl Scout troop in DC. They toured several buildings and monuments. I had to stay behind for a teacher work day, but it looks like the girls had fun!

On August 8th, we attended the beautiful wedding of Mom and Jim! It was a fantastic beach themed wedding attended by friends and family.
